Research interest

Toxicological characterisation of selected secondary fungal metabolites in Norwegian grain. My special interests are investigation of their mechanism of action, DNA damage, cell signalling and inflammation pathways. I use methods such as flow cytometry, western blot, ELISA and more. I love science!

 
Background

Studies in biology, chemistry and biochemistry, at Sogn and Fjordane University College, Sogndal (1994 – 1995) and at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), Trondheim, Norway (1995 – 2000). Dr. scient. in Toxicology from the Norwegian Institute of Public Health, Oslo, Norway (2000 – 2005). Post doc in cell biology at Rikshospitalet University Hospital, Oslo, Norway (2005 – 2008). Guest researcher at Nordic Institute of Dental Materials, Oslo, Norway (2008). Post doc at the Norwegian Veterinary Institute, Oslo, Norway (2008 - ).
